We are proud to present one of the most fascinating parts of our academic program – a visit to so-called Cyber Exercise and Research Platform (KYPO).

KYPO, also now as Cybernetic Polygon, is a unique environment for the research and development of new methods for protecting critical infrastructure against cyber-attacks. The word “polygon” means a “training ground”, therefore this  developed visual environment is used for the simulation of complex cybernetic attacks against critical infrastructure, trains the soldiers of future – IT warriors and analyses their behaviour and impact on the infrastructure. This project was created by the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.  KYPO is addressed by the Institute of Computer Science in cooperation with the Faculty of Informatics. The KYPO serves for the research and development of new security tools and methods and in addiction is used also for educating members of security teams, for example professionals from the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). In addition to the attack simulation polygon it can be used also for forensic analysis and the simulation of the behaviour of other networks.

For the first time in the Polygon’s history it will be opened for public, where the experienced team will tell you and show you breathtaking things about Cyber Security in practise. But there will be much more than that – as a participant of Brno Summer School  you will have a unique opportunity to actually conduct a simulated CYBER ATTACK and try to DEFEND it for yourself! You will try out how is it to stand in line as a IT soldier. Where else you would have the possibility to experience this?

Brno Summer School is waiting for you – don’t keep it waiting for too long!.
